Sidney William Doel died peacefully in his bed at Warwick Park care home surrounded by loved ones on his 100th birthday. However, the former Army corporal’s son explained that things could have panned out much differently if the day had gone according to plan.“We got there at about 10am and he died just after 12pm,” said 56-year-old Eric Doel.
