Ocean Spray® has joined forces with International Bartender of the Year to create three tasty cocktail and mocktail recipes – perfect for this weekend.
Collaborating with International Bartender of the Year 2015 Ryan Chetiyawardana AKA Mr Lyan, Ocean Spray® has created three unique cocktail and mocktail recipes using a range of Ocean Spray® products. Each recipe has been carefully crafted to compliment the flavours of this unique berry. Featuring classic ingredients, as well as some more unusual flavours, the recipes show how versatile and tasty cranberry juice can be – with or without the addition of alcohol.
Ryan Chetiyawardana, otherwise known as Mr Lyan, is a world-class bartender. He opened his first bar, White Lyan, in 2013 - the first cocktail bar globally to use no perishables. Since then he has gone on to open Dandelyan at the Mondrian London to great acclaim. He has brought his unique take on cocktail making to Ocean Spray, showing that you can add a new twist to your drinks at home.
Cranberries not only taste good and help you increase your fruit in-take, but they are also nutrient-dense and provide whole body health benefits. These recipes from Ryan bring a new way to try this drink and will help you convince your friends that you have the talents of an international bartender.
Ocean Spray® Cosmo Paloma
Ingredients:
50ml Ocean Spray® Sparkling Cranberry
30ml Blanco tequila
2 strips of celery
10ml apricot brandy
25ml pink grapefruit juice
Dash of sugar syrup
Sea salt
Ice
Mint sprig
Method:
Rim a hi-ball glass with sea salt and fill with ice. Put all the ingredients (except for the Ocean Spray® Sparkling cranberry) into the glass and stir. Top with the Ocean Spray® Sparkling Cranberry and garnish with the mint sprig.
Ocean Spray® Raspberry Mule-less
Ingredients:
100ml Ocean Spray® Cranberry & Raspberry juice drink
1 drop almond essence
75ml ginger ale
Stem of rosemary
Ice
Method:
Fill a wine glass with ice; add the almond essence, Ocean Spray® Cranberry & Raspberry juice drink and ginger ale. Garnish with the stem of rosemary.
Ocean Spray® Bulletproof Blueberry
Ingredients:
100ml Ocean Spray® Blueberry Juice Drink
1 coin fresh turmeric (or substitute with fresh ginger)
5ml cider vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1 whole egg
Pinch salt
(Optional 2 dashes angostura bitters)
Ice
Mint sprig
Method:
Blend all the ingredients, then pour over ice and garnish with the mint sprig.
