STREET FIGHTER CHARACTERS BROUGHT TO LIFE BY ACCLAIMED HIP HOP THEATRE COMPANY
Iconic characters from the legendary Street Fighter series have been brought to life in a ferocious performance from acclaimed Hip Hop theatre company ZooNation. Six dancers from the Sadler’s Wells resident dance company took on the roles of Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Cammy, alongside newer characters to the series Laura and Rashid, and unleashed their moves at a launch event for the hugely anticipated Street Fighter V.
The resulting performance is available to view here.
ZooNation Dance Company is famed for its hugely successful Into the Hoods production, the ‘urban fairytale’ which became the first ever Hip Hop dance show in the West End and one of the longest running dance show in West End history. Into The Hoods: Remixed, a fresh twist on the show, heads out on tour later this month. The exclusive Street Fighter performance featured some of the Company’s most successful dancers, including members of Boyband, finalists in last year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Street Fighter V is available now on PS4 and Windows PC, and features cross-platform play for the first time. Gamers are able to select from 16 core characters initially – including four brand new to the series. It is available from Game and online retailers.
