Mecca’s menu development team are calling on foodies to nominate regional dishes famous in their local area, with three lucky food fanatics winning the chance to join the next taste test panel as a Chief Taster.
Mecca Bingo is especially keen to find the country’s classics, be it a Lancashire Hot Pot, Liverpool Scouse, Pease Pudding or even Haggis Neeps and Tatties; wherever you are in the UK, Mecca Bingo wants to hear why your region’s traditional dish or secret delicacy is the best Great Britain has to offer.
The three Chief Tasters will be invited on an all expenses VIP trip to Birmingham to meet Mecca Bingo’s National Kitchen and Menu Development Team. The Great British Menu style session will involve sampling over 40 dishes to determine the mouth-watering options for 2017’s spring/summer menu.
Mecca Bingo menu development manager, Mark Furniss, said: “We’re extremely excited about launching the search for the nation’s favourite regional recipes. There is no better way of making sure that Mecca customers will be happy with the food than by asking them to get involved in the planning from the very start.
“With clubs across the UK, it seems natural to add a local flavour to what we offer, which is why we’re so keen to hear from foodies around the country who think their regional dish is the best Britain can cook up. Be it a Lancashire Hot Pot, a Newcastle Pease Pudding or the perfect Yorkshire pudding, we’re keen to hear from you and to invite you onto our taste test panel.”
