Millennials spend an astonishing 10 HOURS a week on dating apps, new research has revealed.
A study of 5,000 18-30 year-olds found a large chunk of the nation are turning to their phones in pursuit of love.
Badoo.com surveyed its 370 million users worldwide to unveil modern dating trends, finding blokes are the most hooked when it comes to dating apps, but only just.
Men were found to spend 85 minutes a day on dating apps, averaging 9.7 minutes each session.
Whereas women spend 79 minutes a day on dating apps, typically browsing for 7.6 minutes each session to find a potential suitor.
A spokesperson from Badoo.com, who commissioned the research said: "Here at the Badoo we like to answer your burning questions, such as: "How do I start a conversation online?" "Why am I not getting many matches?" and "Wait, putting out really doesn't get you love?!” (unapologetic Friends reference)...
"But one question we get asked a LOT, is how much time do people really spend swiping for ‘the one’?
"So we decided to find out.
"These results give one of the first insights into how long Brits spend in pursuit of love.
"And it will come as no surprise that time is no barrier for most people."
According to the study women were found to log on to dating apps a staggering 10 times a day, with men falling slightly behind at 9 times each day.
This January saw a 23 per cent pick up in the number of active users compared to previous months, which shows more people than ever are looking for love in the new year.
Interestingly, 16 per cent of millennials have their age bands set higher in order to find an older date.
And it turns out our UK users thumbs are the busiest on a Sunday around 7pm - when most people log on to check for dating matches.
