In the midst of election chaos, another ‘Battle Bus’ has pulled up in London – but this one was simply handing out free BEER.
Danish brewer Carlsberg attempted to buy belief in their revamped lager brew by giving out free samples outside Charing Cross station.
They also wanted to stand by their policy of ‘Brewing for a Better Tomorrow’ with a new type of sustainable ‘Snap Pack’ packaging, doing away with plastic ring pulls.
The company has been on a tour of each major political party’s headquarters to get them to all agree on their Better Beer for Britain policy.
Voters and political partisans alike were all welcomed to try out a beer, which comes following Carlsberg’s revamp of its flagship beer in the UK.
That came after a bold admission that despite its famous strapline, its previous lager was ‘Probably NOT the best beer in the world’.
Sam Johnson, brand manager for Carslberg Pilsner, said: “This week’s General Election is one of the biggest events for our country in 2019 and tension is high.”
“In times of uncertainty, The British public need an election pledge they can believe in and our campaign promise of ‘Better beer for Britain’ through our new Danish Pilsner is definitely something the public can get behind.
“Not only are we making this promise, but we’re also delivering on it as well, giving out samples of our new beer to thousands of Brits during Election week… we’re confident it will get the public’s vote.”
