In the ad, CEO Dec has an incredible banking brainwave which, with a little help from a new and rather mysterious character, he pitches to fellow banking supremo Ant.
Dec’s big idea is to help customers feel better about their household bills by making them more interesting.
And his ingenious way to achieve this incredible feat is by introducing a personal origami master – ready for action when those bills arrive through the letter box.
After Dec proclaims himself always ready to ‘open the door’ to new talent, fellow CEO Ant immediately advises him to roll out the service immediately.
He enthuses: “Let’s be honest, no one really likes bills, but origami bills – well that’s more like it.”
The commercial was created to highlight Santander’s real-life commitment to helping customers feel better about household bills by giving cashback every month with their 1l2l3 current accounts.
