George Clooney has now been hailed the world's sexiest 'silver fox'. The Ocean's Eleven actor star topped a list of greying heart-throbs in a poll of 2,000 Brits which put ex James Bond star Pierce Brosnan second and This Morning host Phillip Schofield in third place.
Pretty Woman actor Richard Gere, crooner Robbie Williams and Indiana Jones lead Harrison Ford were also ranked highly on the list.
Another Bond star Sean Connery ranked at number seven in the poll of popular silver foxes, while Northern Irish actor Liam Neeson came eighth.
Swimming champ Mark Foster came in 9th place ahead of Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho who completed the top ten.
A spokesman for celebrity lookalike app Celebalike, which commissioned the study, said:
"To many, a silver fox doesn't mean they look old and tired.
"It comes across as a more distinguished look and encourages many to grow old gracefully."
Other aging celebs who didn't quite make the top ten were Match of The Day host Gary Lineker, Friends star Matt LeBlanc and British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood.
The study also found two in five Brits think the mature look is what makes a person attractive.
Four in five think they would still find the top 10 list of silver foxes attractive even if they weren't famous.
And almost two thirds said they think greying hair looks better on men than women.
The spokesman added:
"Celebrities of this age inspire men to avoid worrying about how they are going to look as they get older - you aren't going to lose your good looks if you take care of yourself.
"Many people think silver hair looks better on men than women, but this doesn't mean it should be avoided by older ladies.
"Women can be just as foxy regardless of their hair colour.''
