A ban on homework, ice cream for breakfast and free toys for everyone – are what kids would decree if they were royal for a day.
A poll of 1,000 kids aged six to 10 and their parents also found other dream-day demands included filling swimming pools with bubble bath, turning schools into theme parks, making cartoons play all day on TV and choosing dinner every night.
Taking a look at education, 34 per cent would ban homework forever.
And 86 per cent would declare a national fancy dress day.
The research was commissioned by Disney Store ahead of World Princess Week, celebrating the launch of the ‘Sprinkle of Magic’ Princess Experience at its new Westfield White City store from 24–26 August.
Vicky Woods from the brand said: “Children remind us that the world is brighter when it’s filled with laughter, imagination, and play.
"Their vision of a kingdom built on joy shows just how magical life can be when seen through young eyes.
“It’s proof that when children lead with fun and kindness, the world becomes a truly extraordinary place.”
Should they find themselves in power, 48 per cent said they would feel happy seeing everyone smile, and 42 per cent said they would be excited to impose fun rules.
The OnePoll.com study found 90 per cent would mark the coronation with a party – among the most sought after Disney Princess guests were Cinderella, Moana, and Snow White.
Meanwhile, Prince Charming, Aladdin, and Prince Eric were among the most common princes to be invited to the party.
The majority of parents polled admitted their children are already treated like royalty (85 per cent).
Playing up to their treatment, 70 per cent of kids regularly dress up as princesses – with nearly one in five (19 per cent) doing so at least once a week.
Parents said their kids getting into character helps to build their confidence (55 per cent) and sparks excitement (54 per cent).
When analysing their princess like traits, parents said their children were creative (56 per cent), empathetic (56 per cent) and honest (55 per cent).
Vicky Woods, from Disney Store which is marking Disney Princess Week with free to attend sparkle stations for hair glam, enchanting face painting, and fairy-tale fun at its Westfield store, added: “Disney princesses embody qualities like courage, kindness, and creativity – traits that continue to inspire children today.”
“When little ones step into their favourite characters through dress-up and play, it sparks imagination, builds confidence, and creates magical moments.”
