A couple who converted this derelict pig barn into their dream home have been forced to tear it apart - after planners said they didn't have planning permission. See MASONS story MNBARN: The concrete shed is set in idyllic surroundings in the Norfolk Broads surrounded by rural farmland and a river. It is called Heath Acre Barn and was uninhabitable before it was snapped up in 2008 and transformed it into a seven-room bungalow. The 3,293sq/ft shed previously housed pigs but now contains four bedrooms, a kitchen, living area and bathroom facilities. But its current residents did not get planning permission and a retrospective appeal was rejected by the Broads Authority.
